Nice I got my sexy gaming machine for college too! But only problem has been the monitor. I wanted to get an HDTV with VGA inputs so I could watch TV, go on the computer, and play my 360 in HD with one thing... And well I've been having problems on the computer monitor end. First TV we got was so messed up as a computer monitor we returned it... This one, a 19 inch samsung 4 series, works good, but on the resolutions that fit the screen, you notice the screen either too stretched vertically, or squished horizontally... Only resolution that's perfect is 1024x786, and that's low res ... But for gaming having an odd resolution that stretches the screen didn't seem to matter, I just played C&C3: Kane's Wrath on 1280x1024,,
Many HDTV's, even when working with a PC input still employ the antiquated method of overscan, in other words, the image that it receives is stretched to be bigger than the screen.
This is fine for consoles and TV, since they automatically send a signal that takes this into account, however, PC's don't, at least not by default.
Modern graphics, at least from Nvidia and ATI should offer customisation options to allow you to alter the output so it will fit at the resolution you want.
